A four-tower hotel on Al Tayseer Street in the Al Gashla district, about 2km from the Haram. Be clear about what that means in practice: this is not a walking hotel for most pilgrims. The walk takes twenty to twenty-five minutes, and while a free shuttle runs 24 hours at roughly five to ten minute intervals, it sets down at the transport terminal, leaving a further ten minute walk to the mosque. Guests travelling with elderly family should plan around the shuttle rather than expect to walk. What you get in return is space and value: large soundproofed family rooms with fridges, a prayer hall within the hotel, a mini-market, a gym, a barber and halal buffet breakfast timed so you can eat before Fajr. The Masjid al-Taneem Miqat is 550 metres away, which is convenient if you intend to take on additional Umrah during your stay.
